My employer's Washington DC office's softball team challenged the New York to a best of 3 series to be held in Washington DC on September 12, 2004. The team accepted and it was up to us to get down to the nation's capital.

My wife, daughter and I left Long Island around 11:30 on Satruday morning, arriving at our hotel on P Street at 5:10 PM.  After checking in we walked down P Street to the Georgetown University campus and took some pictures.  They walked back to the hotel while I remained to explore the campus some more.

At around 8 PM we met some teammates at Connecticut Avenue and 18th Street to have dinner at an Italian restaurant.

The following morning we drove down 23rd Street to the ball field to let the games begin
